Notes from the margin desk.

These answers expand on methods stated elsewhere on the portal. They are updated when policy changes; the date above shows the last review.

We keep FAQ copy in an accordion so mobile readers can open one question without scrolling through ten. Each answer is written to stand alone if you share a direct link to this page with a colleague who has never visited Quay Margin before.

What is Quay Margin?

Quay Margin is the public name of Wire Swift Haven's riverside news portal. It publishes beats, daily tide ledgers, and mark-up standards for stories along the Singapore River corridor. It is independent, not government-run, and does not promise commercial outcomes.

How do I request a correction?

Email [email protected] with the headline, URL, and the fact you believe is wrong. Include a primary document if you have one. We respond during River Hours and publish corrections in The Tide File with a timestamp. Phone +65 6245 3187 only for urgent safety errors.

Can I visit the newsroom?

Yes, during River Hours (Mon–Fri 08:00–18:30 SGT). Enter via The Landing stairwell at 27 Mohamed Sultan Road. The reading bench in the corridor is open to walk-ins; the inner room is for staff. Recording devices are not permitted past the bench.

Do you accept sponsored content?

No paid placement. Monthly Preview pieces may describe ticketed public events we attended early without payment; they are labelled Preview and excluded from beat registers.

How are sources protected?

Off-the-record commitments are kept. Quotes may be retracted without naming a source if they request it after an interview. We do not sell source metadata.

Why are maps blocked until I accept cookies?

Google Maps embeds set functional cookies. You may reject them and still read the site; address text appears instead. See the Cookies page for detail.

Do you publish on weekends?

Routine beats do not publish on weekends. Safety sheets may publish if the river walk closes; an on-call editor monitors email at 10:00 and 16:00 on holidays.

How do I subscribe to the beat digest?

Email [email protected] with subject line 'Beat digest'. We add addresses manually during River Hours. The digest is plain text, sent Fridays around 17:00.
